Centenary

Centenary Luncheon 27 March, Castle Green Hotel Kendal

What a great day! Lots of chatter and laughter as the golfing ladies of Cumbria aged from 17 to 94 came together for lunch to celebrate their centenary.

 Joined by guests from England golf and other Northern Counties, we were entertained by a talk from Sophie Walker about her life and the realities of media coverage, particularly of women’s golf. Her talk was followed by an informative Q&A session. Look out Radar, “Stalker Walker” may soon be right behind you! Cup cakes to follow a lovely meal were either eaten on the spot or carried home for later.
